A significant benefit is also the minimization of waste in landfills, although measures in this area are still insufficient, as only half of the paper used is recycled in Poland. This statistics can be significantly improved, as evidenced by the Scandinavian countries. An example is Sweden, where as much as 80% of waste paper is recycled. Global statistics are also not very satisfactory as the level is around 58%. So there is still a lot of work to do. Throwing used paper into the appropriate rubbish containers is one of the simplest actions that each of us can take in order to protect the natural environment. As you can see, even a single piece of paper is important, the production of which requires much more resources than most people realize.
